Mosaic featuring an animal scene with a billy goat and 3 bir - Lot 309
Mosaic featuring an animal scene with a billy goat and 3 birds, one of which sits on an amphora. Reassembled from Romano-Byzantine polychrome tesserae. The mosaic was probably originally much longer; the motifs were grouped together when the panel was reconstructed. Resinated sand background, a few scattered chips. Panel size: 133x156cm. Estimated weight between 60 and 100kg. As is.
